This beach is renowned for being one of the undeveloped beaches in the Houston area. Depending on where you are on the beach, you could walk for miles before seeing anyone else. Keep in mind that there are no facilities on the beach, but that is intentional to keep in line with the natural beauty of the beach.
There are lake dunes and hiking trails that are located in the northern area of the island, and this beach is ideal for fishing, sunbathing, windsurfing and swimming.
